Difference between the Vulcan 06' NOMAD 1600G & 1600D
I was looking to purchase a Service Manual for my 2006 Nomad 1600G but all I can find is for the "D" model.
Anyone know the difference between the D & G models?

Called Kawasaki today and got my answer
UPDATE 7-11-11
I was disappointed that no one responded to my request, so after several days I called Kawasaki today and found that the only difference between the 2 models is the "G" is Fuel Injected and the "D" is a Carburetor.

I have a 2006 nomad Manufactured 10/05 its a g model electronic fuel injection (efi). My manuel says its for a 2005 d-1 model first edition printed 10/31/2004 and its for a EFI system not carbs. I read your first post and didn't know what the diffrence was. I didn't think any of the 1600 were carburated.

I have a D as well, and it is fuel injected as I think all 1600's are. I was always led to believe that the D was the green model, the G was the black. That's the only difference.

I was only relaying what I was told from Customer Service at Kawasaki. I wanted to make sure I ordered the correct service manual.

All 1600's were fuel injected. Your previous information is wrong. I have the 04 Classic 1600 and my Husband has the 06 1600 Nomad with the service manual. The service manual applies to my Classic all the same. Again .... all 1600 Vulcan models are fuel injected. Search models to see that the letter is only a year difference or paint code difference.
( I work at a motorcycle shop).
